The most common causes for a Red Book valuation to be requested are for probate submissions following the death of the owner of agricultural or residential property, for capital gains tax planning/HMRC submissions, SIPPs appraisal/review or for secured lending.
We can also provide market appraisals when a full Red Book valuation is not required, for example if you are hoping to buy or sell a property, perhaps off market, and would like a third party to give you a professional opinion before you proceed.
Lizzie is particularly experienced in preparing valuation reports of agricultural property for probate purposes and assisting solicitors and accountants to minimise the amount of inheritance tax payable by the deceased’s Estate.
